About Zulu

Experienced Marine Services

Zulu Marine was founded in 2006 to perform marine operations utilizing purpose-built equipment and highly trained personnel. In 2010, we incorporated as Zulu Marine Services, Inc. We are incorporated in the State of Georgia and are registered as a foreign entity in Florida, South Carolina and North Carolina. We maintain facilities in McIntosh County, GA, and New Hanover County, NC, and have offices in Savannah, GA, though we are largely mobile and work throughout Florida, Georgia, North and South Carolina. We are fully bonded and insured.

Zulu has many years of experience in marine and water-based services, to include waterway assessments, woody and vegetative stream debris removal, vegetation removal, sediment removal, living shoreline installations, bank stabilization and erosion control, vessel removal and disposal, dredging, underwater inspections, and more. We have successfully completed waterway service projects in waterways throughout Florida, Georgia, South and North Carolina, ranging in size from 3000 linear feet to over 70 miles. We have never defaulted on a project or failed to complete when promised.

Dedication to Waterway Health

Zulu is adept at working in sensitive marine environments and we take great care to protect the waterways, wetlands, habitats, and wildlife at project sites and surrounding areas.

In addition, while conducting any service project, we make note of any other waterway health issues, such as excessive aquatic vegetation growth, beaver dam blockages, sedimentation, bank erosion, and any other issues that might be cause for future concern, and provide this information to the client.

We understand the needs and complications related to waterway health. We are equipped and have the personnel to complete any and all work to the Client’s complete satisfaction.

We have extensive experience in coastal regions and in working with the following guidelines:

  • USACE Incremental Effects of Large Woody Debris Removal on Physical Habitat
  • National Resource Conservation Services (NRCS) Practice Standard 326 Clearing & Snagging
  • NC Department of Environmental Quality policies
  • NC Wildlife Resources Commission Snagging & Clearing Guidance
  • Streamflow Rehabilitation Assistance Program (StRAP)

Zulu Client Portal

We provide an online portal for our clients and their stakeholders, which allows for easy sharing of daily documented project imagery, to include pre-project, progression and post-project photos and video, which can be used for workflow and reporting. Our focus is to provide complete project management and fulfillment to our customers.

We look forward to the opportunity to assist in any waterway services you might require.
